Abstract:
Disclosed is a rotating device, which has permanent magnets provided in a stator and a rotor, respectively, and a simple structure, and furthermore, which is capable of effectively using a magnetic force between the permanent magnets. In a stator (10), stator-side permanent magnets (A1-A4) are disposed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction, and each of the electromagnetic coils (C1-C4) is disposed by being positioned between two adjacent stator-side permanent magnets of the stator-side permanent magnets (A1-A4). In a rotor (20), rotor-side permanent magnets (B1, B2) are disposed. The circumferential direction length of at least one of the rotor-side permanent magnets (B1, B2) is set longer than the circumferential direction length of the stator-side permanent magnets (A1-A4). At the time of using the rotating device as a motor, the rotor (20) is rotary driven in the desired direction by performing current supply switching among the electromagnetic coils (C1-C4).
