In order to accurately estimate a magnetic pole position regardless of the operating state of a rotating electric machine, a rotating electric machine control device is provided with: a high-speed region position calculation unit (3) for calculating a magnetic pole position of a rotor on the basis of induced voltage; a low-speed region position calculation unit (5) for calculating the magnetic pole position by applying a high-frequency observation signal to a rotating electric machine; and a switching unit (1) for switching a calculation mode between at least two modes of a high-speed region calculation mode using the high-speed region position calculation unit (3) and a low-speed region calculation mode using the low-speed region position calculation unit (5). The switching unit (1) uses the high-speed region calculation mode in a high-speed rotation region (RH) defined by rotation speed and torque, and uses the low-speed region calculation mode in a low-speed rotation region (RL). The switching unit sets both a high-speed region-side boundary (HB) that is a boundary between the high-speed rotation region (RH) and a region on the lower speed side than that, and a low-speed region-side boundary (LB) that is a boundary between the low-speed rotation region (RL) and a region on the higher speed side than that such that the rotation speed becomes lower when the torque is relatively high than when the torque is relatively low.
