Abstract:
PWM controlling of first and second inverters for controlling a double-winding rotating electric machine is performed in association with the mode switching between asynchronous PWM and synchronous PWM. A first group triangle wave (CWa) used for the PWM controlling of the first inverter is switched from the asynchronous PWM to the synchronous PWM at a first timing (t1) when a triangle wave for the asynchronous PWM and a triangle wave for the synchronous PWM coincide with each other in carrier phase. A second group triangle wave (CWb) used for the PWM controlling of the second inverter is switched from the asynchronous PWM to the synchronous PWM at a second timing (t2) which is later than the first timing (t1) and when a triangle wave for the asynchronous PWM and a triangle wave for the synchronous PWM coincide with each other in carrier phase.
