Abstract:
A stator (16) of a rotating electric machine (10) comprises a stator core (23) including a yoke (25) and teeth (26), and a coil (24) formed by winding a winding wire (60) through concentrated winding around each of the teeth (26) while moving same back and forth spirally in the extension direction of the teeth (26). The coil (24) includes a first coil group (61), a second coil group (62), and a coil end (65). The first coil group (61) includes a first piled-up-bales-shaped array layer (61a) and a first cross-shaped array layer (61b). The second coil group (62) includes a second cross-shaped array layer (62a) and a second piled-up-bales-shaped array layer (62b). The first coil group (61) and the second coil group (62) have asymmetric cross-sectional shapes on both sides of the teeth (26) in a circumferential direction of the yoke (25).
