Abstract:
In order to suppress energy flowing into a capacitor of a power converter, a rotating electric machine system comprises: a rotating electric machine equipped with a stator having the stator winding (4) of each phase and a rotor placed spaced from the stator and having the rotor winding (3) of each phase; power converters (7, 7') connected to the rotor winding (3) and switching between DC and AC; a capacitor (8) connected to the DC side of the power converters (7, 7'); a voltage detector or a calculator, said voltage detector detecting any of at least the voltage applied to the rotor winding (3), the voltage applied to the stator winding (4), and the voltage of a power system connected to the stator winding (4), said calculator obtaining any of said voltages by calculation; and a voltage drop detector (24) for detecting at least any of the drops of said voltages. When the voltage drop detector (24) detects a voltage drop, the same voltage command for each phase is output to the power converters (7, 7').
