Abstract:
Provided is a small size and inexpensive rotating electric machine by structuring the rotating electric machine such that an end surface of a magnet and an end surface of a metal tube do not contact each other.
A rotating electric machine comprises: a cylindrical stator core; a rotor provided with a shaft installed on the inner circumferential side of the stator core; a yoke fixed to the shaft; at least one ferrite magnet installed on the outer circumferential surface of the yoke; and a protective cover disposed along the outer circumference of the ferrite magnet. In the rotating electric machine, an end surface of the ferrite magnet projects with respect to an end surface of the yoke, and there is a step portion for creating the gap between the end surface of the ferrite magnet and the bottom surface of the protective cover.
