Abstract:
A rotating electric machine is provided with a rotor (5), a stator (6), and U-phase, V-phase, and W-phase coils (7) wound around the teeth (62) of the stator (6) to form a Y-connection. Each of the U-phase, V-phase, and W-phase coils (7) has a plurality of drive power-supply side coils (71, 72), a connection portion (75), a support power-supply side coil (73), and a neutral point side coil (74). The drive power-supply side coils (71, 72) are electrically connected in parallel so that current is supplied thereto from a drive power-supply circuit (8). The connection portion (75) connects wires to each other, said wires extending from the parts of the plurality of drive power-supply side coils (71, 72) on the side opposite to the drive power-supply circuit (8). The support power-supply side coil (73) is electrically connected between a support power-supply circuit (9) and the connection portion (75) so that current is supplied thereto from the support power-supply circuit (9). The neutral point side coil (74) is electrically connected between the neutral point (N) of the Y-connection and the connection portion (75).
