Abstract:
A rotating electric machine is provided with: a rectifier (30) fixed outside a frame member and constituting a rectifier circuit for rectifying AC current produced in the stator; and an insulating cover (20) provided so as to cover the rectifier. The rectifier is provided with a positive electrode-side member (31) having a positive electrode-side rectifier element (32) connected to the power supply side and a positive electrode-side heat sink (33) to which the positive electrode-side rectifier element is fixed and which is charged positively. The positive electrode-side heat sink is disposed so as to be opposed to and separated from a non-positive-electrode-side member (41) having a potential difference with respect to the positive electrode-side heat sink. The insulating cover has a wall portion (24) extending in a direction toward which the positive electrode-side heat sink and the non-positive-electrode-side member are disposed side by side. The wall portion is an easily deforming portion that, when the insulating cover is deformed by the application of an external force, strikes against the non-positive-electrode-side member and is inserted between the positive electrode-side heat sink and the non-positive-electrode-side member.
