Abstract:
A rotating electric machine has a stator equipped with: a stator core having a plurality of slots; and a plurality of segment coils respectively housed in the slots of the stator core. The stator has a terminal coil portion disposed on a side of the coil ends of the segment coils in the radial direction. The terminal coil portion has the same number of layers in the shaft direction as the number of layers of the segment coils in the radial direction at the coil ends and is formed by a plurality of terminal coils forming a plurality of layers in the radial direction.
