Abstract:
Provided is a highly reliable rotating electric machine in which the amount of partially discharged charge can be reduced while reducing the size by reducing the insulation thickness of a coil and a coil end portion can be prevented from being turned up by rotational wind associated with the rotation of a rotor. The rotating electric machine is characterized by being provided with: a stator coil comprising a coil conductor and a main insulating layer covering the surface of the coil conductor; a slot core including the stator coil; and a first insulating paper disposed between the stator coil and the slot core and wound around the stator coil so as to make contact with the slot core and a second insulating paper wound around the stator coil while making contact with the main insulating layer. The rotating electric machine is further characterized in that: the first insulating paper has a semi-conductive layer on the slot core side; the second insulating paper has a semi-conductive layer on the stator coil side; and an end of the second insulating paper is exposed on the opening side of the slot core.
