Abstract:
The present invention provides a rotating electric machine in which, by using a housing having an improved roundness, a partial increase of surface pressure that occurs in a stator is suppressed to achieve an increase in reliability. The rotating electric machine according to the present invention has a rotor, a stator, and a cylindrical housing fixing the stator from the outer circumferential side. The housing has a flange disposed at an axial end of the outer circumferential surface and extending in the outer circumferential direction. The flange has a recess extending in the circumferential direction.
