Abstract:
Provided is a rotating electric machine in which a fastener for fixing an armature core to a housing can be prevented from loosening or dropping off. The rotating electric machine (1) according to this invention is provided with: a housing (10) rotatably supporting a rotor (20); and an armature (30) having an annular armature core (40) fixed to the housing (10) in a state of being disposed around the rotor (20). The armature core (40) is a connected body of a plurality of constituent units, and a plurality of protruding portions (12) are formed on the upper surface of the housing (10). The armature core (40) is fixed to the housing (10) in such a way that, in a state in which the upper surface of each of the protruding portions (12) makes surface contact with only one of the lower surfaces of the plurality of constituent units, fasteners (46) are attached to the constituent units that make surface contact with the protruding portions (12).
