Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to reduce noise in the audible band generated in a rotating electrical machine in accordance with a carrier frequency, while suppressing a deterioration in the overall electrical efficiency of an inverter and the rotating electrical machine, when the rotating electrical machine is being controlled by means of pulse width modulation. In this rotating electrical machine control device, a carrier frequency (fc) is varied in accordance with a rotational speed (ω) of a rotating electrical machine in such a way that carrier sideband frequencies (fs+, fs-), which are the frequencies of sidebands appearing above and below a central frequency (fm) corresponding to a carrier frequency (fc), are not included in a pre-determined frequency band (fb).
