Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of manufacturing a rotating electrical machine provided with a stator comprising a continuously wound coil, which has concentratedly wound coils that have the coil wire thereof to be a rectangular shape wound continuously through cross wires. The continuously wound coil is formed, first of all, by mounting divided cores before the coil wires are wound therearound on mechanisms for moving the divided cores to and fro, and moving the divided cores to and fro therewith to secure the trajectory of the windings, and winding the coil wires thereupon. Then the postures of the winding-start wires and the winding-end wires of the concentrated winding coils are maintained at approximately 90 degrees with opening/closing type chucks equipped with mechanisms for moving the chucks to and fro, to line up all the faces of the coil wires. The opening/closing type chucks are mounted on the mechanisms for moving the divided cores to and fro. Then, the mechanisms for moving the divided cores to and fro, are moved to and fro, and the opening/closing type chucks are moved to and fro and opened/closed, to form the continuously wound coil.
