Abstract:
A rotating electrical machine (10) for vehicles, comprising: a rectifier (40) fixed to the outside of a frame member (20) and constituting a rectification circuit that rectifies AC current generated in a stator (13); a battery terminal section (50) provided protruding from the rectifier (40) and having a battery cable (70) connected thereto; insulating members (30, 60) having a through-hole (65) and being provided in a state in which the battery terminal section (50) is inserted through the through-hole (65); and a waterproof cap (73) attached to the insulating members (30, 60) and covering, in a waterproof state, a connection section (53) connected to the battery cable (70), in the battery terminal section (50). A protruding section (66) that is annular and protrudes inwards is formed in the inner circumferential surface of the through-hole (65) in the insulating members (30, 60). This protruding section (66) abuts the outer circumferential surface of the battery terminal section (50), in an elastically deformed state.
