Abstract:
A rotating electrical machine 1 is provided with: a rotor 30 having a plurality of magnetic poles; and a stator 20 having a stator coil 21 comprising phase windings for three phases, wound onto a stator core 22 having a plurality of slots 25. A slot multiple n is set at 2, and each phase winding of the stator coil 21 is wound across (n+1) adjacent slots 25 using short-pitch winding. If a magnetic pole arc ratio about an axis of rotation O of the rotor 30 is α, a circumferential direction angle extent of a magnetic flux transfer surface 36 of the rotor 30 is β, where said magnetic flux transfer surface 36 faces the stator core 22 and transfers magnetic flux, and a circumferential direction slot pitch of the slots 25 is γ, then in order to make it possible for the magnetic flux flowing between the stator and the rotor to be acquired efficiently, β≤2nγ, and β<α.
