Abstract:
A rotating electrical machine (500) has a slotless construction. The rotating electrical machine is provided with an inverter housing (531), a bearing (560), a stator winding (521), and a rotor (510). The inverter housing includes a hollow tubular boss portion (548) provided on a radially inner side of the stator winding. The bearing includes an outer race (562) provided on a radially inner side of the boss portion, an inner race (561) provided on a rotating shaft (501) of the rotor which is inserted through a hollow portion of the boss portion, and a plurality of balls (563) disposed between the outer race and the inner race, wherein the bearing rotatably supports the rotating shaft.
