Abstract:
One embodiment of a rotating electric machine according to the present invention comprises: a rotor that is rotatable about a center shaft; an annular stator that is located to the outside of the rotor in the radial direction thereof; a case that, in the interior thereof, houses the rotor and the stator; and a first thermally conductive member that is located in the interior of the case. The case includes: a cylindrical cylinder member having an opening in an end on one side in the axial direction; and a lid member fixed to the opening. The lid member includes: a lid body part that is located on one side of the stator in the axial direction thereof; and an annular fitting part that protrudes from the lid body part to the other side of the stator in the axial direction and that is fitted to the inside of the opening. The stator includes: a stator core contacting the inner circumferential surface of the cylinder member; and a coil wound around the stator core. The coil has a first coil end protruding to one side from the stator core in the axial direction. The first thermally conductive member contacts at least the first coil end, the fitting part, and the cylinder member.
