Abstract:
Provided is a rotating element with embedded permanent magnets, comprising: a rotor core that is adapted to be positioned within the diameter direction of a solid state element; first permanent magnets that are embedded near the exterior circumference face of the rotor core, and that extend in directions that are orthogonal with an axis d; and second permanent magnets that are embedded on both sides of each of the first permanent magnets along the circumference, and that extend along an axis q. The permanent magnet-embedded rotating element further comprises cavities that are formed in the rotor core away from both circumference direction ends of the first permanent magnets in the direction of the second permanent magnets. The cavities further comprise exterior diameter direction end parts that are located at the furthermost exterior side with respect to the diameter direction of the rotor core, and interior diameter direction end parts that are located at the furthermost interior side with respect to same. The magnetic pole faces of the first permanent magnets are located between the exterior diameter direction end parts and the interior diameter direction end parts of the cavities, with respect to the diameter direction of the rotor core.
