Abstract:
A rotating machine where radial play of a magnet is restricted and where an axial
variation in the installation position of the magnet is restricted. A magnet
holder (19) used for a motor (1) has a holder base (31) fixed to a rotating shaft
and holder arms (32) formed projected from the holder base (31), in the direction
of extension of the rotating shaft. Each holder arm (32) has an arm body (41) fixed
to the outer periphery of a rotor core and extending in the direction of extension
of the rotating shaft, and also has a bridge section (51) for connecting the holder
base (31) and the arm body (41) and formed to have a circumferential width of W1
that is smaller than the width W2 of the arm body (41). The rigidity of
the base of each holder arm (32) is set lower than that of conventional magnet holders.
Magnets received between adjacent holder arms (32) are held by elasticity of
the holder arms (32) and this limits opening of holder arm end sections involved
in installation of the magnet.
