Abstract:
In this rotating tool with a coolant hole, a tip-end flank of a drill body (1) that is rotated around an axis (O) has a coolant hole (8) extending toward the tip-end side in the axis (O) direction. In a cross section perpendicular to the axis (O), the coolant hole (8) has formed therein a first concave curve part (8a), a second concave curve part (8b), two third concave curve parts (8c), and two linear parts (8d). The first concave curve part (8a) is positioned on the inner peripheral side of the drill body (1) and has a concave curve shape that is concave on the inner peripheral side. The second concave curve part (8b) is positioned on the outer peripheral side of the drill body (1) and has a concave curve shape that is concave on the outer peripheral side with a radius of curvature (r2) larger than that of the first concave curve part (8a). The two third concave curve parts (8c) are in contact with two ends of the second concave curve part (8b) and each have a radius of curvature (r3) smaller than that of the second concave curve part (8b), the center of the radius of curvature (r3) disposed inside the coolant hole (8). The two third concave curve parts (8c) extend toward the center of the drill body (1) and are concave in the circumferential direction. The two linear parts (8d) each connect an end of the first concave curve part (8a) and the end of the third concave curve part (8c) that is not in contact with the second concave curve part (8b).
