Abstract:
This rotation angle detection sensor 10, which is attached to a structure 20 including a rotation part 22 supported rotatably around a rotary shaft 23 with respect to a fixed part 21 and detects the rotation angle of the rotating part, comprises: a reed switch 14 that is attached to the fixed part or the rotation part of the structure and has reeds 14d, 14e arranged perpendicular to the rotary shaft and near the rotary shaft; and annular magnets 13 that are attached to the rotation part or the fixed part of the structure, are disposed at predetermined intervals in the direction of the rotary shaft such that a magnetic circuit is formed with respect to the reed switch 14, and have a central axis O disposed concentrically with the rotary shaft. The magnets 13 are multi-pole-magnetized parallel to the central axis. When the magnets 13 rotate around the central axis with respect to the reed switch 14 with the rotation of the rotation part, if the same poles of the magnets 13 are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the reed switch 14, both reeds of the reed switch 14 are magnetized to the same pole, and the reed switch 14 is turned off. If different magnetic poles of the magnets 13 are lined up in the longitudinal direction of the reed switch 14, both reeds of the reed switch 14 are magnetized to different poles from each other, and the reed switch 14 is turned on.
