Abstract:
A rotation angle sensor includes a first shaft member for holding an input rotary shaft in a mode in which the input rotary shaft has play in a first direction perpendicular to the input rotary shaft and rotating together with the input rotary shaft; a second shaft member for holding the first shaft member in a mode in which the first shaft member has play in a second direction perpendicular to the input rotary shaft and the first direction, rotating together with the first shaft member, and generating magnetic flux; a rotation guide member for rotatably holding the second shaft member and regulating the center of rotation of the second shaft member; and a detection element that opposes the second shaft member via the rotation guide member and detects magnetic flux that changes according to the rotation angle of the second shaft member.
