Abstract:
This rotation detection device 1 comprises: a magnetic encoder 2 as a member to be detected, the magnet encoder 2 being mounted to an inner ring 11, which serves as a rotating member, and having a plurality of magnetic poles arranged in the circumferential direction of the inner ring 11; and a sensor section 3 disposed facing the magnetic encoder 2, the sensor section 3 being mounted to a knuckle 9, which serves as a stationary member, and not rotating as the inner ring 11 rotates. The sensor section 3 has a plurality of magnetic sensors 30 having plate-shaped detection sections 300 formed by collectively covering magnetism detection elements and signal processing circuits with a resin mold 300a. The detection sections 300 are stacked in the direction in which the sensor section 3 and the magnetic encoder 2 face each other, and the magnetic sensor 30 disposed farthest from the magnetic encoder 2 has higher sensitivity than the magnetic sensor 30 disposed closest to the magnetic encoder 2.
