Abstract:
The invention of the present disclosure is provided with a camera that is held so as to be rotatable and that can be rotated so as to change the imaging direction thereof, and with a rotation detection device that detects the rotation of the camera. The rotation detection device is provided with: a detection part that has a lever part that is configured so as to self-return to a reference position; a cam part that contacts the lever part and that has a notch in one part thereof; and a rotating body that can rotate along with the camera. In the course of unidirectional axial rotation, the rotating body transitions between at least a first state wherein the lever part is not facing the notch, a second state wherein the lever part is in the reference position and facing the notch, and a third state wherein the lever part is not facing the notch. The detection part detects whether the rotating body is in the first state, the second state, or the third state and determines the imaging direction of the camera on the basis of the detected state of the rotating body.
