Abstract:
A rotation detection device (10) has: a magnetism detection element (11) for detecting a change in magnetism caused by the rotation of a rotating body; a magnet (12) for applying a magnetic field to the magnetism detection element (11); a lead terminal (13) connected to the magnetism detection element (11); and a housing (30) in which the magnetism detection element (11), the magnet (12), and the lead terminal (13) are accommodated. The magnetism detection element (11), the magnet (12), and the lead terminal (13) are mounted to an inner case (20). The housing (30) comprises a first housing (40) and a second housing (50) which is fitted in the first housing (40) and which is disposed facing the rotating body. Either the first housing (40) or the second housing (50) is provided with an inner case fitting section (43) to which the inner case (20) is fitted.
