Abstract:
Provided is a rotation drive tool that does not cause slack in a rotation mechanism even if an external tool is separated. A connection part 14 for connecting an external tool is rotatable integrally with a transmission shaft 4 for transmitting rotational force to a body 2 of a rotation drive tool 1. The connection part 14 is integrally provided with a connection part-side engagement part 16. In addition, a body-side engagement part 10, which is capable of engaging with the connection part-side engagement part 16 in the circumferential direction, is provided on the body 2 side. The connection part 14 rotates integrally with the transmission shaft 4, around the axis thereof, and is slidable in the axial direction. The connection part 14 is biased toward the body 2 side such that the tip of the transmission shaft 4 projects into an accommodating part 14a that accommodates the external tool of the connection part 14. The external tool and transmission shaft 4 can be accommodated in the accommodating part 14a in a mutually exclusive manner. When the external tool is being accommodated in the accommodating part 14a, the transmission shaft 4 is forced out, and the connection part 14 is thereby relatively separated from the body 2, and the connection part-side engagement part 16 becomes disengaged from the body-side engagement part 10.
