Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a rotation position holding mechanism for which an appropriate biasing force against a locking member is set. As a solution, the present invention provides a rotation position holding mechanism for locking the rotation of an output rotating body when a rotary drive force is not being inputted, the rotation position holding mechanism being characterized in that: a biasing member (145) for biasing a locking member (146), which locks the rotation of an output rotating body when pressed into the tip-end side of a wedge-shaped space, is equipped with a contact section (145d) for contacting a contact range (146a) of the locking member (146) in a dispersed manner, and two spring parts (145c) arranged along the rotational axis (1a) so as to spring-bias the contact section (145d) toward the locking member (146); and the total of the widths (d1) of the two spring parts (145c) in the direction of the rotational axis (1a) is shorter than the length (d2) of the contact range (146a) in said direction.
