Abstract:
This rotation sensor is provided with: a plurality of magnetic sensors (40) that are disposed so as to be evenly spaced along the circumferential direction of a rotating body (100) and so as to be removed from the outer periphery of the rotating body, have fixed positions, and output sine wave signals and cosine wave signals according to the electrical angle of the rotation of the rotating body by detecting magnetic field variation accompanying variation in the rotation position of the rotating body resulting from the rotation of the rotating body and a calculation unit (50) for receiving the sine wave signals and cosine wave signals from the plurality of magnetic sensors and acquiring an electrical angle signal in which the higher order components included in the sine wave signals and cosine wave signals have been cancelled out by adding/subtracting the sine wave signals and cosine wave signals according to predetermined rules.
