Abstract:
A rotation transmission device having a roller clutch section (10), an electromagnetic clutch section (20) for controlling, by electromagnetic force of an electromagnetic coil, (21) the engagement and disengagement of the roller clutch section, and torque limitation means for preventing excessive transmission torque from acting on the roller clutch section. The rotation transmission device is formed simple, small in size, and light in weight, and can be produced at low cost. A recess-ridge engagement mechanism (30A) is provided as the torque limitation means, and the mechanism limits the transmission of torque by allowing shafts to slip when transmission torque reaches an excessive value equal to or more than a set torque value.
