Disclosed is a rotation transmission device whereby stable rotation transmission operations can be obtained with a straightforward construction. Input and output shafts (1, 2) are arranged coaxially. At the outer periphery of the input shaft (1), a pair of facing bevel gears (3, 4) are rotatably fitted and an intermediate bevel gear (5) is provided that meshes with these two facing bevel gears (3, 4). Also, the output shaft (2) and one of the facing bevel gears (3) are connected so as to rotate in unitary fashion. A first unidirectional clutch (6) that transmits positive rotation of the input shaft (1) to one of the facing bevel gears (3), and a second unidirectional clutch (7) that transmits inverse rotation of the input shaft (1) to the other facing bevel gear (4) are provided so that rotation in both directions, i.e. the positive direction and inverse direction, that is input to the input shaft (1) is converted to positive rotation and output to the output shaft (2). In this way, compared with a conventional device which comprises a combination of three unidirectional clutches, the number of components is reduced and the drawback of axial misalignment of the clutches during rotation does not occur.
