Abstract:
Provided is a rotor for an eddy-current-type deceleration device, whereby it is possible to suppress a decrease in the high-temperature strength of an eddy-current-type deceleration device associated with the cumulative operating time thereof. A cylinder part (11) of a rotor (10) for an eddy-current-type deceleration device according to the present embodiment has a chemical composition, in terms of mass%, of 0.05-0.15% C, 0.10-0.40% Si, 0.50-1.00% Mn, no more than 0.030% P, no more than 0.030% S, 0.20-1.00% Mo, 0.020-0.060% Nb, 0.040-0.080% V, 0.030-0.100% sol. Al, 0.0005-0.0050% B, 0.003-0.010% N, 0-0.20% Cu, 0-0.20% Ni, and 0-0.10% Cr, the remainder comprising Fe and impurities, the total area ratio of martensite and bainite in the microstructure of the cylinder part (11) is more than 95.0%, and the number density of carbides having an equivalent circle diameter of 100-500 nm therein is 0.35-075 carbides/µm2.
