Abstract:
This rotor for a gear pump comprises: an inner rotor that has n teeth (n being an integer greater than or equal to 2) facing outward; and an outer rotor that is a ring shape surrounding the periphery of the inner rotor, is positioned eccentrically with regard to the inner rotor, and has (n+1) teeth facing inward. One member of the inner rotor and the outer rotor comprises a group of tooth bottom sections each having an edge along a first setting curve, and a group of tooth tip sections each having an edge along a second setting curve that is different from the first setting curve, said setting curves being envelopes that are obtained by moving a forming circle along a trochoid curve based on one base circle, said forming circle being smaller than the base circle. The edges of the group of tooth tip sections are positioned between the first setting curve and the other member of the inner rotor and the outer rotor.
