Abstract:
Provided are a rotor holding permanent magnets without using a special member and a motor provided with the rotor. The rotor comprises a rotor core (20), a plurality of permanent magnets (30), and a rotating shaft. The rotor core (20) has a plurality of magnet placement holes (110). The permanent magnets (30) are placed inside the magnet placement holes (110) to which the respective permanent magnets (30) correspond. The rotating shaft is fixed to the rotor core (20) and has a shaft center serving as a rotating center. The rotor core (20) has first inner surfaces (121), second inner surfaces (122), and projections (120). The first inner surfaces (121) and the second inner surfaces (122) are positioned inside first magnet placement holes (110) and face each other. The projections (120) are formed by the plastic deformation of the rotor core (20) and project from the second inner surfaces (122) to the first inner surface (121) side. First permanent magnets (30) placed in the first magnet placement holes (110) are held in the first magnet placement holes (110) by the projections (120).
