Abstract:
A rotor includes a rotation shaft, a rotor core, and a plurality of permanent magnets embedded on the inside of the rotor core. The permanent magnets include a first radial-direction-side surface, a second radial-direction-side surface, and a pair of circumferential-direction-side surfaces. In the axial view, the circumferential-direction-side surfaces form a straight line that is parallel to a virtual line connecting a magnetic pole boundary part and an axis of rotation between permanent magnets adjacent in the circumferential direction. The first radial-direction-side surface has a constituent surface positioned further to the inner-circumference side than a virtual circle that passes through an outer-circumference-side end part of the circumferential-direction-side surface about the axis of rotation, and the thickness between the circumferential-direction-side surface and the constituent surface in a direction orthogonal to the circumferential-direction-side surface increases toward the radially inward side.
