Abstract:
The objective is to obtain a rotor for a rotary electric machine and a rotary electric machine which can easily be manufactured and with which demagnetization of permanent magnets can be minimized. In the rotary electric machine a conductive member collectively surrounds a shaft and multiple permanent magnets provided at the outer circumferential part of the shaft, and a retaining member collectively surrounds the shaft, the multiple permanent magnets, and the conductive member. The conductivity of the conductive member is higher than the conductivity of the permanent magnets. The conductive member has a first and a second opposing part which oppose one another at a distance in the circumferential direction. An inter-opposing-part region existing between the first and the second opposing part is located within an area in the circumferential direction of an inter-magnet region existing between adjacent permanent magnets in the circumferential direction.
