Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to prevent rusting of magnets even when the magnets have a large gap portion therebetween and are affected by external factors such as, for example, outside air. The rotor according to this invention is provided with a rotor core and a strip-shaped band disposed on a surface of the rotor core, wherein said strip-shaped band has a plurality of magnets and a resin covering the magnet surfaces except for the surfaces with which the magnets make contact with the surface of the rotor core. The method for manufacturing the rotor according to this invention is provided with: a strip-shaped band fabricating step of fabricating a strip-shaped band having a plurality of magnets and a resin covering the magnet surfaces except for the surfaces with which the magnets make contact with the surface of a rotor core; a resin plate attaching step of attaching resin plates so as to sandwich the side opposing to the magnet surface of the strip-shaped band and the magnet surface side; a magnetization step of magnetizing the magnets; a metal plate attaching step of attaching a metal plate to the resin plate on the opposing side of the magnet surface; a resin plate detaching step of detaching the resin plate attached to the magnet surface; and an attachment step of attaching the magnet surface of the strip-shaped band to the surface of the rotor core.
