Abstract:
A rotor for an rotating electric machine, where the opposed forward end side and root side of adjacent claw-like magnetic poles are connected by a connection member and a magnetic field coil is made to be in contact with inner peripheral surfaces of the claw-like magnetic poles in an electrically insulated state. As a result, vibration of the claw-like magnetic poles is effectively suppressed, enabling electromagnetic noise of the rotor to be reduced. The forward end side of one of adjacent claw-like magnetic poles (24A, 24B) and the root side of the other are connected by a connection structure body (26). An electromagnetic field coil is wound on a boss section such that the diameter of the coil is greater than the root inner diameter of the claw-like magnetic poles (24A, 24B) and is in contact with the inner peripheral surfaces of the claw-like magnetic poles (24A, 24B) with an insulation member (27) in between.
