Abstract:
The present invention relates to a rotor with which a vehicle AC generator is equipped, said vehicle AC generator being mounted on a vehicle and the like as a rotating electric machine and generating power by being driven by a vehicle engine. In a bobbin structure around which a field coil with which the rotor is equipped is wound, a retaining portion extending from the neck portion of a locking portion toward the circumferential directions of a flange portion is configured such that the length extending in one of the circumferential directions is formed longer than the length extending in the other of the circumferential directions, said locking portion projecting from the flange portion of the bobbin toward the outside in the radial direction. This suppresses the interference between a cover portion and a winding or between the cover portion and a coil winding jig during the winding work of the lead-out wire of a field coil winding, while ensuring the electrical insulation properties between the field coil and a nail-shaped magnetic pole.
