Abstract:
This rotor comprises: a cylindrical rotor core (1) in which are laminated a plurality of magnetic steel plates in which a magnetic pole is formed by a plurality of flux barriers arranged along the radial direction; disk-shaped balance rings (2) which are provided to either end of the rotor core (1) in the axial direction and which comprise a magnetic body; and a non-magnetic first end plate (3) and second end plate (4) which are sandwiched between the balance rings (2) and the rotor core (1) such that the balance rings (2) do not contact the rotor core (1) in the axial direction. In each of the first end plate (3) and the second end plate (4), one surface thereof contacts the rotor core (1) so as to overlap with all magnetic paths having a flux barrier on the inner peripheral side of the rotor core (1), and another surface thereof contacts the balance rings (2).
