Abstract:
Provided is a roughened nickel-plated sheet that has, as the surfacemost layer on at least one side of a metal substrate, a roughened nickel layer formed from a plurality of nickel projections. In observation using a focused ion beam milling observation apparatus (FIB-SEM) of the state of the individual height positions of the roughened nickel layer, the absolute value of the rate of change in the nickel occurrence ratio is less than or equal to a prescribed value and, at a height position of 2.0 µm toward the surface from the base end position of the roughened nickel layer in the height direction, the nickel occurrence ratio and number of nickel projections present are each equal to or greater than prescribed values.
