Abstract:
A rouser having a light source composed only of a versatile discharge lamp and
produced at a low cost. The rouser comprises a storage section storing a rousing
start time and a rousing time, a discharge lamp serving as a light source, a light
control section for controlling the light so as to stepwise increase the light
output from the discharge lamp from the stored rousing start time to the stored
rousing time. The light control section so controls the light source that the
lamp current at the rousing start is approximately 5 mA or more and the illuminance
at the face of the sleeper to be roused is larger that 0 lx and equal to 23 lx or lower
at the rousing start.
