Abstract:

This route-finding device, which finds a route from a set origin to a destination, is provided with the following: network data that includes nodes and links that represent a road network, average costs that represent the average lengths of time it takes to transit said links, and variability values that represent the degrees to which said lengths of time vary; and a route-finding unit that determines a recommended route from an origin to a destination on the basis of the average costs, the variability values, and weighting coefficients for said variability values.
