Abstract:
Provided is a route generation device (110) that prevents the target route of a vehicle from becoming discontinuous before and after the start of a lane change. Also provided is a travel control device (100). A position acquisition unit (111) acquires position information of the vehicle. A first route extraction unit (112) extracts, as a first point sequence, a target route which is based on the assumption that the vehicle will continue to travel on the lane that the vehicle is traveling on before the start of the lane change. A second route extraction unit (113) extracts, as a second point sequence, a target route which is based on the assumption that the vehicle is currently traveling on the adjacent lane on which the vehicle is to travel after completion of the lane change and that the vehicle will continue to travel on the adjacent lane. A route calculation unit (114) calculates a third point sequence representing a target route for the vehicle when changing lanes so that the third point sequence is located between the first point sequence and the second point sequence.
