Abstract:
The present invention can reduce the risk of accidents caused by inconsistency between a guide sign and route guidance. This route guidance program causes a computer (200) to execute the processes below. The computer extracts, from an inputted destination, a route and the destination address. The computer specifies, on the basis of the current position of a vehicle, a guide sign about a branch point to be passed on the route to the destination. The computer stores, in a storage unit, the guide sign associated with the branch point and a place name associated with a corresponding course and included in the guide sign. The computer checks the storage unit, and outputs a first guidance output when a first course that is specified for the branch point on the basis of the route matches a second course corresponding to a place name that matches the place name of the destination address and that is displayed on the guidance sign. The computer outputs a second guidance output when the first course does not match the second course. In outputting guidance outputs, the computer makes the first guidance output and the second guidance output different from each other.
