Abstract:
Provided in the present application are a router advertisement method and an electronic device. In the present embodiment, each ASBR, which is connected to a second AS, in a first AS advertises, to the second AS, network reachable information (which carries a BIER Path Attribute, the BIER Path Attribute at least comprising a BFR ID of each BFR in the first AS) corresponding to the same BFR group prefix, and when receiving the network reachable information which is advertised by the ASBR in the first AS, an ASBR in the second AS continues to advertise, in the second AS, a BIER router (which carries the BFR ID of each BFR in the first AS) of the same BFR group prefix in the first AS, such that a device in the second AS receives a plurality of routers of the same prefix in the first AS, and selects one of the routers as an optimal router according to a router optimization method, thereby reducing the computation complexity of a BIER router, and also ensuring that subsequent message forwarding is carried out.
