Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application disclose a routing information processing method and apparatus, which may be applied to a network device supporting a BGP protocol, and is used to overcome the defect of an existing BGP SPF protocol. The network device may be a forwarding device, such as a router or a switch. For example, in the embodiments of the present application, by extending the BGP protocol, a priority attribute is introduced into routing information carrying NLRI to indicate the priority of the routing information, so as to affect a BGP NLRI selection process performed by the network device. For example, in the embodiments of the present application, by providing a network fault processing method, it is beneficial to solving the problem that a network device cannot calculate a packet forwarding path in some scenarios under an existing protocol.
