Abstract:
A RTM method, which infuses and impregnates resin from multiple infusion ports into a preform disposed inside the cavity of a forming die, wherein: the multiple infusion ports are disposed in first positions in the central section of the cavity corresponding to positions in the final molding product area of the preform and second positions positioned in the periphery of the cavity corresponding to positions outside the final molding product area or corresponding to positions inside the cavity but outside the preform area; and the timing for closing the infusion ports after resin infusion is made to be different between the infusion ports of the first positions and of the second positions. In RTM methods that infuse resin from multiple infusion ports, the invention is able to achieve both faster resin impregnation and improved molding quality.
