Abstract:
Disclosed is a rubber composition which enables to attain high grip performance when used for a tire tread without deteriorating characteristics of the tire such as fracture behavior and abrasion resistance or decreasing factory workability. Also disclosed is a tire using such a rubber composition. Specifically disclosed are a rubber composition wherein a product obtained by reacting an inorganic metal compound and a phenol resin in a specific proportion is blended with a rubber component at a specific ratio, and a rubber composition obtained by blending a combination of an inorganic metal compound and a phenol resin with a rubber component. Also specifically disclosed is a pneumatic tire using such a rubber composition for a tread member.
