Abstract:

Provided is a rubber composition that is configured to ensure wear resistance and to have an exothermicity that is below conventional levels. The present invention is characterized by including a diene rubber and a reinforcing filler, the diene rubber (1) having a bound styrene content of 5-50 weight%, (2) containing an ozone decomposing component S1 that includes one unit derived from styrene and an ozone decomposing component S1V1 that includes one unit derived from styrene and one unit derived from 1,2-bound butadiene, the total styrene content of the two components being less than 80 weight% of the bound styrene content, and the total styrene content of the ozone decomposing component S1V1 being 10 weight% or more of the bound styrene content, (3) containing an ozone decomposing component S1V2 that includes one unit derived from styrene and two units derived from 1,2-bound butadiene and that has an area strength that is 15% or more of the area strength of all the ozone decomposing substances that include a unit derived from styrene, and (4) including a styrene-butadiene copolymer component that comprises at least one type of styrene-butadiene copolymer wherein the vinyl content of the butadiene portion thereof is 50% or more.
